Shortly after the death of Dheeraj Kumar, famous director Chandra Barot has passed away. Chandra Barot, the director of Amitabh Bachchan&#8217;s film <em>Don</em>, breathed his last at the age of 86. According to a Times of India report, director Chandra Barot&#8217;s wife, Deepa Barot, confirmed the news of his death, saying, “He had been battling pulmonary fibrosis for the past seven years.” Barot was undergoing treatment at Guru Nanak Hospital. He passed away on the morning of Sunday, 20 July.</p>

<p><strong>Education Department Order:</strong> Important news has emerged for parents in Madhya Pradesh who send their children to private schools. The state government has revoked the recognition of 250 private schools across the state. This includes 12 schools in the capital city of Bhopal.</p>



<p>It is reported that the recognition was revoked because these schools lacked land documents. Some school operators did not possess sufficient land as per school standards, while others lacked necessary registration papers. This led to the department taking action.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">50 Schools Still Awaiting Decision</h2>



<p>The recognition process for schools offering classes 9th to 12th in the state involves an initial application to the Divisional Joint Director. If approval is not received, a second appeal is made to the Departmental Minister. 350 private schools&#8217; recognition cases reached the Departmental Minister. Of these, only 50 schools received recognition, while the recognition of another 50 schools has been put on hold. However, the recognition of 250 private schools has been revoked. This includes 12 schools in Bhopal, among which prominent names are Ankur Higher Secondary, Seven Hills, Preeti Higher Secondary, Rajapushpa, Parth, and Gyan Krishna School.</p>

<p>A tragic incident occurred on Saturday evening at Are-Ware beach, a popular tourist spot in Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, where four tourists from Thane-Mumbra drowned in the sea. The deceased include three women and one man. The incident happened around 6:30 pm when the tourists were enjoying themselves near the shore and were caught in strong waves.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bodies Recovered Within Half an Hour</h2>



<p>According to eyewitnesses, the four tourists were swept away by sudden strong waves while bathing in the sea. Local villagers and fishermen immediately launched a rescue operation, but it was too late. The bodies of all four were recovered within approximately 30 minutes. The deceased have been identified as Junaid Kazi, Jainab Kazi, Uzma Sheikh, and Umera Sheikh, all residents of Mumbra, Thane.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Warning Already in Place</h2>



<p>The local administration had already issued a &#8220;No Swimming&#8221; warning at Are-Ware beach, as strong waves and dangerous currents are common during the monsoon season. However, the tourists ignored this warning, resulting in this tragic incident. Upon receiving information about the accident, Senior Inspector Rajendra Yadav of Ratnagiri Police Station, along with his team, reached the scene, conducted a panchnama (official report), and initiated a preliminary investigation.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Demand for Deployment of Guards</h2>



<p>Locals have demanded that the administration deploy guards at sensitive coastal areas like Are-Ware during the monsoon season and impose restrictions on tourists. They also stated that such accidents occur due to negligence in the allure of natural beauty. The administration has appealed to people to follow weather department warnings and strictly adhere to safety guidelines in coastal areas.</p>

<p>Delhi University (DU) released its first seat allocation list for undergraduate (UG) courses on Saturday, 19 July. A total of 93,166 students have been allocated colleges and courses in this first phase. Many students have accepted their allotted seats, while others have opted for an upgrade, hoping for better options. The DU administration stated that approximately 30% more seats than available were allocated to ensure no vacancies remain later. This year, the admission process is underway for 71,642 seats across 79 courses in 69 colleges of the university. Allocations have also been made under special categories. 1,325 single girl child applicants and 259 orphans have received seats.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What to do if you are not satisfied with your allocated seat?</h2>



<p>If a student is dissatisfied with the seat allocated in the first list, they can choose the ‘float’ option. This keeps their chances open for a preferred college or course in the next round. Students satisfied with their allocated seat should choose the ‘freeze’ option, pay the fees, and complete their admission at the respective college. DU will release a list of seats remaining vacant after the first round on 24 July. Students can then re-enter their preferences between 24 and 25 July. The second seat allocation list will be released on 28 July at 5 PM.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Previous seat will be automatically cancelled &#8211; Admission Dean</h2>



<p>DU&#8217;s Dean of Admissions, Prof. Haneet Gandhi, stated that students should first accept their allocated seats. If a student chooses the ‘upgrade’ option, hoping for their preferred college, they must accept the next seat offered; the previous seat will be automatically cancelled. Prof. Gandhi also mentioned that students will see details related to the cutoff on their dashboards, making it easier for them to understand the marks at which admissions were granted in other categories.</p>

<p><strong>Shah Rukh Khan Injured:</strong> Bollywood&#8217;s King Khan is in the headlines not only for his film, &#8216;King&#8217;, but also due to an alleged injury. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">300 Passengers Onboard</h2>



<p>According to a report by Aviation a2z, Delta Airlines flight DL446 was carrying 282 passengers, 10 flight attendants, and two pilots. Shortly after takeoff, the pilots confirmed an engine fire and declared an emergency landing. All passengers and crew were safely evacuated. The Delta Airlines aircraft (a Boeing 767-400), approximately 25 years old, is equipped with two General Electric CF6 engines.</p>



<p>Flight radar reports indicate the aircraft initially flew over the Pacific Ocean before circling over Downey and Paramount, allowing the pilots sufficient time to complete their checklists and prepare for a safe landing. Following the incident, the US Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation.</p>

<p>A cruise ship carrying tourists capsized at sea in Vietnam. The accident is attributed to a severe storm.</p>



<p>The cruise ship sank in Ha Long Bay, Quang Ninh province, following a violent storm. The incident has resulted in 37 deaths, with rescue operations still underway.</p>



<p>The incident occurred at approximately 1:30 PM (local time) on Saturday. The ship encountered a powerful storm. Authorities reported losing contact with the vessel by 2:05 PM, after which it submerged in the bay.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">48 Passengers Onboard</h2>



<p>There were 48 passengers aboard the cruise ship at the time, comprising 24 men and 24 women, many reportedly young people and children. Most passengers were Vietnamese, visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site from the capital, Hanoi.</p>



<p>Despite challenging weather and heavy rain, rescue teams managed to pull 11 people alive from the water. However, dozens remain missing, prompting a large-scale rescue operation.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">National Mourning After Tourist Deaths</h2>



<p>The deaths have prompted a wave of national mourning. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued a statement expressing his deepest condolences to the families of the victims.</p>



<p>He has also called for an investigation into the accident. A statement from the government indicated that any negligence in the incident will be dealt with severely.</p>

<p>Many students in India are unable to fulfil their dream of studying at foreign universities due to high costs. Now, they will be able to do so at a lower cost while remaining in the country. This is becoming possible with the new National Education Policy. Southampton University (UK) inaugurated its first such campus in Gurugram on Wednesday. This is being considered a milestone in India&#8217;s higher education landscape.</p>



<p>Southampton University will offer degrees in computing, law, business, etc. It is expected that 5,500 students will enrol annually. According to the University Grants Commission (UGC), campuses of 15 foreign universities may be established in India by 2027. It is estimated that tuition fees here will be 25-40% lower than at their US campuses.</p>



<p>Under the new UGC regulations, the top 500 global institutions will be allowed to establish fully autonomous campuses in India, with their own admission criteria, fee structure, and degree accreditation. This will provide Indians with world-class education at a lower cost. It is estimated that an Indian student going abroad spends an average of $60,000 on education.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Universities Coming to India</h2>



<p>1- Illinois Institute of Technology (USA) will open its campus in Mumbai by 2026, offering STEM and business programs. This will be the first US university to do so.<br>2- Liverpool University, Aberdeen, and York (UK), and the University of Western Australia have received letters of intent to open their campuses by the end of 2026.<br>3- Istituto Europeo di Design (Italy) is opening its campus in Mumbai, offering degrees in fashion, product, and visual design at 25-30% less cost than its European campuses.<br></p>

The university stated that some individuals are receiving messages promising admission outside the established process, suggesting admissions beyond the regular procedure.</p>

<p>BHU clarified that it does not share any admission-related information through WhatsApp or similar platforms. Many candidates are receiving messages containing misleading links, urging them to click. The university warned that these could be fraudulent attempts and advised recipients to disregard such messages.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">BHU Admission Process Commences</h2>



<p>Meanwhile, the admission process for undergraduate courses in BHU for the 2025 session has begun. Students who passed CUET UG 2025 can apply through the official BHU website, <a href="https://bhu.ac.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bhu.ac.in</a>, or <a href="https://bhucuet.samarth.edu.in" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bhucuet.samarth.edu.in</a>, until 31 July 2025. The university also specified that official admission-related information is only sent from these email addresses: (admission.help@bhu.ac.in), (admission@bhu.ac.in).</p>



<p>These emails are sent only to candidates who provided their email IDs during the application process. Further updates are also available on the BHU student portal. BHU reiterated that it does not share information through WhatsApp or any unofficial channels. इसके बाद प्रजापत मोहल्ले पर फोकस किया। प्रजापत मोहल्ले में सर्च ऑपरेशन करने के दौरान  देर शाम को उसके घर के समीप ही इस सूने पड़े मकान की तलाशी ली गई। मकान में कुछ नहीं मिली लेकिन एक कमरे में तूड़ा भरा हुआ था गांव वालों ने उसमें तलाश शुरू की तो बच्चे का शव तूड़े में दबा मिला। तूड़े में शव देख लोगों के होश उड़ गए। इसके बाद लोगों ने तुरंत थाना में इसकी सूचना दी। सूचना पर मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने रात्रि को ही शव को अपने कब्जे में ले लिया।  वहीं मुंडावर की सामुदायिक अस्पताल की मोर्चरी में रखवा दिया। मृतक के पिता ने बच्चे की हत्या कर शव को तूड़े में दबाने का शक जाहिर कर मामला दर्ज कराया है। मृत मासूम का रविवार को मेडिकल बोर्ड से पोस्टमार्टम कराकर शव परिजनों को सौंप दिया। शव मिलने के बाद परिजनों व बच्चे की मां का रो-रो कर बुरा हाल हो गया।<br />
10 साल पहले गांव पेहल में हुई ऐसी घटना : मासूम का दोपहर में गायब होना रात्रि को गांव के सुने मकान में क्षत- विक्षत शव मिलने से गांव सदमे में है। ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि 10 साल पहले गांव पेहल में भी दो मासूम दोपहर में गायब हो गए थे। जिसके दूसरे दिन दोनों मासूमो के शव खंडहर में मिले थे। 10 साल बाद ऐसी घटना का सराय कला में होने पर आसपास गांव के लोगों में दहशत बनी हुई है।  </p>

 गांव के अधिवक्ता धर्मेंद्र चौधरी, मनोज चौधरी व रवि मीणा का कहना है कि घटना के बाद ग्रामीणों एवं थाना पुलिस का भरपूर सहयोग रहा। लेकिन घटना दुखदाई होने के कारण ग्रामीणों ने अपने प्रतिष्ठान बंद रखकर घटना के खिलाफ रोष जताया। वहीं पुलिस से मांग की है कि बच्चे के हत्यारे का जल्द से जल्द गिरफ्तार किया जाए।  जिससे बच्चे के परिजनों को न्याय मिल सके। थाना प्रभारी महावीर शेखावत का कहना है कि प्रथम ²ष्टया लगता है कि मासूम का गला घोटकर हत्या की गई। वहीं उसके बाद बच्चे को तूड़े के कमरे में दबाया गया है। मेडिकल रिपोर्ट आने के बाद ही हत्या का  सज खुल सकेगा। थाना प्रभारी ने यह भी बताया कि हत्यारे को शीघ्र ढूंढ कर मामले का जल्द ही पर्दाफाश किया जाएगा। पुलिस मामले में कुछ जनों को संदेह के दायरे में लेकर पूछताछ भी कर रही है।</p>

<p>Kanwar Yatra 2025: सावन में गलताजी के जल भरकर कांवड़िए गाजे-बाजे के साथ भोले बाबा के जयकारे लगाते आगे बढ़ रहे हैं। कांवड़ यात्री भगवान शिव के चरणों में जल चढ़ाएंगे।</p>


 सावन का महीना शुरू होते ही राजधानी जयपुर में कांवड़ यात्राओं की धूम मची है। सावन के महीने में जयपुर के गलता तीर्थ से शहर के विभिन्न मंदिरों के लिए सैकड़ों कांवड़ यात्राएं निकाली जा रही हैं। 

जयपुर का गलताजी भगवान शिव की भक्ति में डूबा हुआ है। यहां निकल रही कावड़ यात्रा में शिवभक्त 'बम बम भोले' के जयकारों के साथ गलताजी के पवित्र जल को लेकर शिव मंदिरों की ओर बढ़ रहे हैं।

भक्तों का उत्साह और आस्था देखते ही बनती है। गलताजी का प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य और आध्यात्मिक माहौल इस यात्रा को और खास बनाता है। यह यात्रा न केवल श्रद्धा का प्रतीक है, बल्कि एकता और समर्पण का भी अनूठा उदाहरण है।
